Arts Outreach Specialist at Kickstarter, PBC
Kickstarter has helped hundreds of artists and organizations connect with a global community to create some of the most powerful art of our time. Our team works closely with creators in the arts as they conceptualize, develop, and launch campaigns to bring their ideas to life. Kickstarter is a Public Benefit Corporation, which means having a positive impact on society is part of our legally defined goals.
PhD Candidate in Media, Culture, and Communication at NYU
My academic work explores the intersections of visual culture and environmental concerns, including energy production and global climate change. I’m currently writing a dissertation that investigates the local cultural histories and contemporary politics of solar power, using solar to understand the different ways in which environmental sustainability is visualized and enacted in Detroit, New York City, and the Mojave Desert.
